ChefView Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the ChefView mobile application and related services operated by FoodHopp. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use ChefView, we may collect account details such as email address and display name, profile preferences (including diet preferences, allergies, and favourite countries), pantry items, saved recipes, swipe activity, device and app diagnostics, and purchase or subscription status from Apple, Google, or RevenueCat when you buy ChefView Pro.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to provide recipe recommendations, pantry matching, wishlists, and grocery lists; personalize the experience; process subscriptions and restore purchases; improve reliability and product quality; and communicate about support or important service updates. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and Analytics

ChefView may show ads to free users and use analytics tools to understand app usage. On platforms that require it, we may request tracking permission. You can decline tracking where the operating system provides that control. Ads are not shown in the same way for active ChefView Pro subscribers.

Sharing Your Information

We share information with service providers that help us operate ChefView, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, and in-app purchase platforms. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.

Data Retention

We keep account and app data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data through in-app support or by emailing us.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of non-essential marketing communications. Some preferences can be managed directly in the ChefView profile and device settings.

Children

ChefView is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date when changes are material.
